The Mysterines Releases New Song “Hung Up” from Debut Album “Reeling”
Liverpool-based alt-rock band The Mysterines will release their upcoming debut album “Reeling” on March 11, 2022.
The band has unveiled the second single called “Hung Up” from the album, following “In My Head” released back in July.
The track received its first play during BBC Radio 6 Music with Steve Lamacq.
It was written by Lia Metcalfe and Callum Thompson. Produced by Catherine Marks.
They have already shot the music video for the song, which will be premiered soon.
Frontwoman Lia Metcalfe said of the song, “Hung Up is pretty self explanatory and I intended it to be that way. It's also a very revengeful song.”
The band recorded the album with producer Catherine Marks at Assault And Battery Studio in London. The album comprises of 13-track.
“Nothing seemed more fitting than to record an album about self-destruction whilst the world itself entered into what seemed like a brief apocalypse,” she said of the album. “As a band, we were really grateful to still be able to create during such bleak times. Our wonderful producer Catherine Marks, who put everything she had into the record, turned my songs into perfect pictures of themselves, with both the most frightening and beautiful reflections.”- source : Apple Music
