5 Seconds of Summer's Luke Hemmings Announces Solo Album “When Facing The Things We Turn Away From”, Premieres New Song “Starting Line”
Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer's frontman Luke Hemmings announced his upcoming first solo album “When Facing The Things We Turn Away From” would be released on August 13, 2021.
The album comprises of 12-track and is his first solo album, following his band-mate Ashton Irwin's solo project “Superbloom” released in October 2020.
From the album the lead single called “Starting Line” was released on June 30, 2021.
The track was written by Luke Hemmings and Sammy Witte, who also produced it.
Luke Hemmings shared on social media, “Starting Line was written in one stream of thought at my friend Sammy’s house . The lyrics come from a reflection of 10 years of my life passing me by in what felt like forever but also in the blink of an eye. He said of the album, “I couldn't be prouder to introduce you to “When Facing the Things We Turn Away From”; a project that grew out of a year of enforced stillness.
