Chris Timbers Returns With New Song “Wake Me Up”
Virginia-based singer-songwriter Chris Timbers returned with a new song “Wake Me Up” on May 28, 2021.
It is his first single since the 2017 album “Keep Moving”.
The song will appear on his upcoming album “Don't Mind The Rain”, which is set to be released on August 20, 2021.
Chris Timbers shared on social media, “'Lift my head, so I can finally breathe. Lift my head, where I can clearly see what's in front of me.' It probably wouldn't shock you to know I wrote 'Wake Me Up' around the time of the George Floyd tragedy. The song started as a plea, I was tired of seeing the news and hearing so much hate and rage. Eventually though, the song morphed into less of a plea and more of a mantra. A mantra to be a better person despite everything, to lift my head and be the change I want to see.”- source : Spotify
