Rozzi Announces New EP “Hymn for Tomorrow”, Unveils New Song “I Can't Go To The Party”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Rozzi Crane, Rozzi announced her third EP “Hymn for Tomorrow” would be released on July 2, 2021.
It is her first project since the 2018 debut album “Bad Together”.
From the EP, she unveiled a new song “I Can't Go To The Party” along with a music video.
The track was written by Pretty Sister, Whitney Phillips and Rozzi Crane. The video was directed by Imogene Strauss.
“I wrote the song after running into my ex-boyfriend at a party and feeling like the months I'd spent getting over him had suddenly vanished,” Rozzi said of the song. “Being so affected by the sight of someone that you're willing to let all your friends have fun without you, is a really lonely feeling.”
She continued, “For the video, we wanted to capture that vulnerability, moodiness, and melodrama by showing me all dressed up in diamonds, with nowhere to go… Just alone, eating popcorn in bed, with a full face of makeup on. Our brilliant director Jack Begert captured it perfectly. And of course, with the Pandemic, none of us have been able to go to any parties for the last fourteen months- so it took on a whole other meaning!”
Also, she plans to release her sophomore album later this year.- source : Spotify
