Tones And I Premieres New Song “Won't Sleep”
Australian singer-songwriter Toni Watson, aka Tones And I premiered a new song “Won't Sleep” with an accompanying music video on May 14, 2021.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album “Welcome to the Mad House”, which is expected to be released in 2021.
The track was written by Toni Watson and co-produced by Randy Belculfine.
The video was directed by Nick Kozakis, Liam Kelly and Toni Watson.
“I actually wrote it about the fact that, through lockdown, we were just partying all the time, we didn't know what to do.” Toni Watson said of the song. “We're just a bunch of kids living in a house together like, 'What are we gonna do tonight?', 'What do we do tomorrow?', 'What do we do the next day?'”
She continued, “When I came out of lockdown and was finishing the album I was like, 'What else am I gonna write about?' I'd just been partying for six months. I wanted to write a song about that and I had the idea of teenage kids creeping out of their window at night; the parents don't know what they're up to.”
Tones And I is currently on Australian Tour 2021. The tour kicked off on April 23rd and will conclude at Enmore Theatre in Sydey on May 18, 2018.-
