Weezer Releases New Album “Van Weezer”, Performs “All the Good Ones” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
American rock band Weezer released their fifteenth studio album “Van Weezer” on May 7, 2021.
The album follows up “OK Human”, which was released back in January and comprises of 10-track, produced by Suzy Shinn.
Frontman Rivers Cuomo told Zane Lowe on Apple Music, “So last album we didn't have any guitars, this one is just all guitars. A hundred guitars. This is all from playing shows, and we just noticed over the last few years there'd be these moments during the show where I'd accidentally bust out a few harmonics or a whammy bar dive or a little tapping just because I can't control myself. And we noticed like unlike in decades past, now the audience would go ballistic whenever they'd hear even a hint of that style. So I started doing it more and more. And soon I'm just like shredding through the whole show and we're like, 'Jeez, we should make an album like this.' The Blue Album but with more-riffs. Metal, hard rock riffs. Also, the band appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “All the Good Ones” from the album.
It is their first musical guest on this TV program since 2019.
After the release of the album, the band released a new remix of “All My Favorite Songs” featuring AJR.- RN7FIN0r0eY
