Coldplay Performs New Single “Higher Power” on American Idol
British rock band Coldplay appeared on American Idol to perform their latest song “Higher Power” on May 9, 2021.
This marks the band first performed the song on TV. Also, seven contestants of the program performed Coldplay's tune. The Coldplay songs picked include “Fix You”, “Yellow”, “Violet Hill”, “In My Place”, “Paradise,” “Everglow” and “Magic.”
The new song was premiered on May 7th during a special link-up to the International Space Station for an “extraterrestrial transmission” to French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who is currently onboard the International Space Station.
