Ashe Releases Debut Album “Ashlyn”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter Ashlyn Rae Willson, aka Ashe released her long-awaited debut album “Ashlyn” on May 7, 2021.
The album comprises of 14-track, including preceding singles "Save Myself", "Till Forever Falls Apart" and “Me Without You”, and features guest appearances from FINNEAS and Niall Horan.
She wrote and created the album with co-executive producer Leroy Clampitt last summer.
"We'd put blankets down and Leroy would bring out a keyboard and his acoustic guitar, and we'd just hang out in the grass and work on the songs in this very traditional way -- completely detached from the internet and lit-up screens,” Ashe explains in a statement. “Ashlyn is deeply reflective and honest, full of stories of my experiences with fear and pain and turning those hard things into joy and independence. I'm an experiential writer and there was no way I was going to make an album that didn't address my personal journey, from my brother's death this last year to my own experiences with emotional abuse."- zQmTmVexCT0

She continued, “I think you have to be vulnerable to create something really great and I believe I did that. Writing this album was also an opportunity to show that I'm not just a songwriter and a singer but a producer and a musician with a very clear vision for my art. I couldn't be more proud of Ashlyn and I hope many people happen to love it too.”
She said of the album title, “There was just no other name. We were toying around with lyrics and A Matter of Time came up and The Faultline came up and I was just like Ashlyn is the only name that makes sense for this. I'm a little bit nervous about that. It was a little daunting that I'm making my first album my name. It's like not separation of church and state. It's completely me and me. So if people don't like it, it's like, they're like, 'I don't like you.'”- source : Spotify
