Little Mix Teams Up With Saweetie for New Remix of “Confetti”
British girl group Little Mix, consisting of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, teamed up with American rapper Saweetie to release a new remix of “Confetti”.
This marks the first collaboration between Little Mix and Saweetie. The remix is Little Mix's first single as a trio. The original member Jesy Nelson left the group last December.
The original version of the song is included on Little Mix's sixth studio album of the same name, which was released last November.
The track was written by Ben Kohn, Camille Purcell, Maegan Cottone, Peter Kelleher, Tom Barnes and Uzoechi Emenike.
The accompanying music video was directed by Samuel Douek.
Little Mix shared on social media, “The Confetti video is hereeeee Saweetie ✨ We're serving you looks, choreo and introducing you to three very special lads. We are so proud of this one hope you all love it!”- Perrie Edwards said of the song, “‘Confetti’ is sexy. It’s very understated but cool. And we just feel cool listening to it. As soon as we had this song, we just knew this would be what the album would be called. It was fun, cool, and you could do so much with it.”
Jade Thirlwall addd, “We always think of video ideas and gender reversals. You know when you see rappers in the club with girls dancing? Imagine if that was switched round.” - source : Spotify
