Aly & AJ Releases New Song “Symptom of Your Touch”
Last month, American pop rock duo Aly & AJ announced their upcoming fourth studio album “a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun” will be released on May 7, 2021.
It is their first album in 14 years, the last being the 2007 “Insomniatic”, and follows two EPs since their return to music in 2017.
From the album, the duo released a new song “Symptom of Your Touch” on April 9, 2021.
It was written by Aly Michalka, AJ Michalka, Jorge Elbrecht, Jeremiah Raisen, and Yves Rothman, who also produced the track.
Also, the single was released via streaming music services, as well as on a 7” color vinyl.- The new album comprises of 12-track and produced by Yves Rothman.
The duo said of the album, “There's nothing more satisfying than sitting in a room asking the universe to humbly bring you the bones of a song. Especially when you have a creative genius as your producer (Yves Rothman) constantly encouraging you to not jump ship, and to trust the process. We started conversations around making a full album together way back in early 2019, but it wasn't until a writing trip in the fall that the record started to take shape. There were many discussions over the sound of this record, the overall tone, and what we wanted to accomplish. Yves made us feel free to be exactly who we were. That we needed to show people that we were two American girls who grew up in the Valley in LA that intend on putting out positive, inspirational, but also revealing and honest writing into the world.” - source : Spotify
