Ringo Starr Releases New EP “Zoom In”: Streaming
Former The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr released his second EP “Zoom In” on March 19, 2021.
The EP comprises 5-track and is heavily influenced by these unprecedented times, borrowing its name from Zoom technology that has become commonplace household technology during the pandemic.
Ringo Starr recorded the EP in his home studio over six months, beginning in April 2020.
The EP's lineup of musicians includes TOTO's Steve Lukather (guitar), Joseph Williams (keyboards), Doors' Robby Krieger (guitar), Nathan East (bass), Jeff Silbar (bass), The Heartbreakers' Benmont Tench (piano), Bruce Sugar (synth guitar), Charlie Bisharat (violin), and Jacob Braun (cello).
Backing vocals includes Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, FINNEAS, Sheryl Crow, Chris Stapleton, Lenny Kravitz, Ben Harper, Dave Grohl, Jenny Lewis, Corinne Bailey Rae, Sam Hollander, Eric Burton and Yola.
When the lead single “Here's to the Nights” was released, Ringo Starr said in a statement, “When Diane presented this song to me I loved the sentiment of it. This is the kind of song we all want to sing along to, and it was so great how many wonderful musicians joined in. I wanted it out in time for New Years' because it feels like a good song to end a tough year on. So here's to the nights we won't remember and the friends we won't forget – and I am wishing everyone peace and love for 2021.”- SpOuO7i_Klo
