Emily Weisband Releases New Song “Psychopath”
American singer-songwriter Emily Weisband released a new song “Psychopath” from her upcoming second EP “I Call It Being Human” on March 12, 2021.
The track was written by Tofer Brown and Emily Weisband. Produced by Sean Small and Sam Sumser. The accompanying music video was directed by Chris Ashlee.
“'Psychopath' is really the driving force behind the theme of this project,” Emily Weisband said of the song. “I had just started dating my current boyfriend and I saw on Instagram that my ex before him got engaged. My boyfriend could tell I was in a funk and said, 'well of course you feel weird about your ex being engaged, you're not a psychopath!' I remember it being such a freeing moment for me. The way I see it, the world will call you dramatic, crazy, extra, too much, unstable, amongst other things for your emotions… but I call it being human.”
