London Grammar Premieres New Song “How Does It Feel” on BBC Radio 1
British alt-pop band London Grammar premiered a new song “How Does It Feel” on BBC Radio 1 Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World on March 9, 2021.
The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming third studio album “Californian Soil”, following “Baby It's You”, “Californian Soil” and “Lose Your Head”.
It was written by Hannah Reid, Dot Major, Daniel Rothman and Steve Mac. Produced by London Grammar and Steve Mac.
The band shared on the social media, “How Does It Feel is out now, it's one of our favourites from the album. I remember feeling sooo nervous about this one but whenever I listened to it I couldn't help but love it. We hope you love it too, and CANNOT WAIT to play this song live in November! 🧡”- The new album is set to be released on April 16, 2021. The theme of the album is feminism and fame. Frontwoman Hannah Reid said, “This record is about gaining possession of my own life. You imagine success will be amazing. Then you see it from the inside and ask, 'Why am I not controlling this thing? Why am I not allowed to be in control of it? And does that connect, in any way to being a woman? If so, how can I do that differently?'”
She shared, “We've made so much progress but women are still under represented in the music business. I know from my own personal experiences how tough it can be and how disheartening it can feel to usually be the only woman in the room. We still have quite a way to go but I really think we're getting there….”
