Post Malone Covers Hootie & the Blowfish's “Only Wanna Be With You”
American rapper Post Malone has released a cover of American rock band Hootie & the Blowfish's “Only Wanna Be With You” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.
He will perform at the Pokémon Day 25th-anniversary virtual concert on February 27, 2021.
Post Malone said on in a statement, “I've been a Pokémon fan for a long time, so the opportunity to headline the 'Pokémon Day' concert celebrating 25 years is awesome.”
The original version of the song was released by Hootie & the Blowfish in 1995 as the third single from their debut album “Cracked Rear View”.
The song reached No. 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Also, the debut album reached No.1 on US Billboard 200.
Post Malone's version contains samples of music from the video games and the Dolphins reference changed to reflect him being a Dallas Cowboys fan.- gBGoDmLMe3U
