EMELINE Drops New Music Video for “6 foot deep”
Los Angeles based singer-songwriter EMELINE has unveiled a new music video for “6 foot deep” directed by EMELINE herself.
The song was released last October. It was written by Oscar Neidhardt and Emeline Easton.
EMELINE said of the song, “It was inspired by struggles I've experienced being a woman particularly in the music industry. I've felt quite objectified and belittled time and again and it caused me to hit a breaking point, which is when I wrote this song.”
The video was filmed at the infamous Westerfeld Mansion a.k.a House of Legends, where Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin have lived. “This was my first project solo-directing which was really exciting and something I've wanted to do forever," she said. “I got to work with an all woman and non-binary crew and editing team. It was important for me to create a safe environment to tell this story in and also to have the people behind the lense understand why I was telling this story and be able to capture the delicate balance I was going for between the satirical and vulnerable visuals.”- source : Variance Magazine
