Sheppard Releases New Song “Learning To Fly”
Australian alt-pop band Sheppard released a new song “Learning To Fly” from their upcoming third studio album “Kaleidoscope Eyes”.
The song follows up “Solid Gold” released last month. It was written by Jessie James Cameron, Whakaio Taahi, Amy Sheppard, George Sheppard and Jason Bovino.
Sheppard shared on social media, “And we've done it! Our final track of the year, 'Learning to Fly', is out this Friday. We wanted to end the year on a high note, so our December release is an upbeat, fun song about rediscovering your inner child. We hope it's one that ends your year well and has you ready to fly in 2021!✨”
The new album is set to be released on February 19, 2021. It is their first album in three years.
The band member George Sheppard said of the album, “Somewhere along the album's journey, I became obsessed with the idea of a kaleidoscope. To most people it might just be a tube with pretty shards of glass, but to us it represented so much more.”
Amy Sheppard added, “Each time you look into a kaleidoscope, you are looking at something in a new light. It's often bittersweet, because the slightest change can shift the entire picture forever. On the other hand, if you continue to tumble, you'll eventually find new beauty in a different arrangement of the same pieces. It's a strangely beautiful metaphor for love and how the world seems much brighter when youre in love. That message has managed to wind its way throughout the entire record.”- source : Spotify
