The Kid LAROI Shares New Song “Reminds Me Of You” featuring Juice WRLD
Australian rapper The Kid LAROI released a new song “Reminds Me Of You” featuring Juice WRLD on the first anniversary of Juice Wrld's death (December 8).
The song sampled German singer-songwriter Kim Petras' “Reminds Me”.
The Kid LAROI tweeted, “'Reminds Me Of You' tonight with my brother @JuiceWorlddd. ❤ Big thank you to @kimpetras for allowing us to remake & share our version of her song with the world.”
Kim Petras said in an Instagram Live broadcast, “[The] Kid LAROI asked to do the song, but also back when we were doing the song, Juice came to the studio […] and he recorded this amazing verse on “Reminds Me,” and had I always, always in the back of my mind hoped it would see the light of day. […] I’ve always hoped there was some kind of way his verse could come out so, it’s coming out tonight. […] I don’t feel at all that anyone took anything from anybody, I just think this is giving the song a whole new life.”- The Kid LAROI wrote on Insmagram this summer. “before we even met you were my favourite artist, and I still think everyday how cool it was that I got to b damn near family with my idol. you took me all over the world on a f*cking private jet and showed me a whole different side of life that not many people get to see. from all the months you let me live at your crib, to all the nights I spent watching and learning from you in the studio, to all the concerts and tours I got to witness.. I got to learn from a real life legend. it’s not even in my character to write long ass sh*t like this but f*ck it our song [‘Go’] is about to come out and I just wanna say how much I wish you were here with me to enjoy this sh*t. we all love and miss you back here.”
