CNCO Releases Cover Of Enrique Iglesias's “Hero”
Miami-based Latin American boy band CNCO, consisting of Joel Pimentel, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez and Zabdiel De Jesús, released a cover of Enrique Iglesias's “Hero” along with a music video on December 4th.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming third studio album “Déjà Vu”.
The original version of the song was released by Enrique Iglesias in 2001 from his fifth studio album “Escape”.
The upcoming covers album consists of different Latin songs from '80s and '90s, including hits from Luis Fonsi, Sin Bandera, Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Chayanne, France De Vita and Cristian Castro.
“We don't like to call it covers because we just wanted to reinvent these beautiful hits that we listened to with our family, and kind of just make it our own,” Joel Pimentel told WWD. “We wanted to show it to our youth, to our generation….We really love these songs because the younger crowd hasn't listened to these beautiful lyrics and we really wanted to give it a new life so they can listen to all the great music that was made back then.”
The new album is set to be released on February 5, 2021.- source : WWD
