T Truman Releases Debut EP “Born To Be Right”: Streaming
London based singer-songwriter and alt-rock band The Vaccines' keyboard player Timothy Lanham, aka T Truman released his debut EP “Born To Be Right” on October 7, 2020.
The EP contains 5-track and neatly bridges the gap between '70s pop rock and modern indie, uniting irresistible pop songwriting with playfully ostentatious orchestration like piano-pop heroes such as Todd Rundgren and Elton John.
T Truman explained track by track for the EP below.
“Holiday”:
“It looks like an Anchorman feat. Joe Exotic unofficial tribute video, but that's what you get when you leave me in self isolation with a handycam.”
“Loretta”:
“I came up with the riff on a tiny keyboard in a hotel room in five minutes. It then took me over three months to come up with lyrics and a chorus that complemented it. "Loretta" should be my entry to urban dictionary as a term used for somebody who doesn't reciprocate.”
“Rock 'n' Roll”:
“This song is a tear I'm shedding for the genre of music I'm in the business of making. If I was around in '73, I'd be a raging success.”
“Born To Be Right”:
“I'm just having a joke about being a know it all and wondering why no one likes my company.”- source : Apple Music
