Ashe Drops New Song “Save Myself”
Last year, American singer-songwriter Ashe released "Moral of the Story",which was featured in the Netflix film “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You”.
The song reached over 12 million streams, and was released remix version with former One Direction Niall Horan on June 17th.
Following the remix, she dropped a new song “Save Myself” on July 22nd along with a lyric video directed by Dana Trippe.
The track was written by Michael Pollack, Jason Evigan, Casey Smith and Ashe.
“I look at ‘Save Myself’ as the precursor to ‘Moral of the Story’ instead of the follow up,” Ashe said of the song. “People say there are five stages of grief; I wrote ‘Moral of the Story’ in the fifth stage of grieving my relationship: acceptance. ‘Save Myself’ (although, written post ‘Moral’) is about my second stage: anger. It means the world to have a chance to express the anger I felt in a healthy way, because whether we like it or not, our anger demands to be felt and let out.”- source : Idolator
