Blackbear Premieres New Music Video for “queen of broken hearts”
American singer-songwriter Blackbear premiered a new music video for “queen of broken hearts”, starring Mckenna Grace, directed by Blackbear himself.
The track is the first single off of his upcoming fifth studio album “everything means nothing”, which is due out August 21.
“‘queen of broken hearts’ is a song that recognizes social media as an evil villain,” Blackbear said in a statement. “while looking introspectively at the bright light on my cell phone and the validation addiction, as well as bringing my other bad habits in relationships & character defects into the light. I am social media and I will break your heart.”- The album “everything means nothing” concise of two parts. He said of the the album in an interview with L’Officiel USA, “Like I said, it's two parts, six songs and six songs. The first six will drop sometime in July and the other six will drop sometime in August. The first six are "Hot Girl Bummer," "Me & Ur Ghost," "Queen of Broken Hearts" and then three emo songs in a row, just hitting them right off the bat with the emo stuff. One's an upbeat emo song and then one's like a proper emo song and then one is an emo-emo song. The next six are straight-up bangers. I think stylistically, it matches the best of Digital Druglord, the best of Deadroses, the best of all Blackbear plus kind of just new pop performer sensibility.”
