HONNE Premieres New Song “no song without you”
London-based electro-pop duo HONNE, consisting of James Hatcher (producer) and Andy Clutterbuck (singer, producer), released a new song “no song without you” along with animated music video on June 12th.
Before the release the song, the duo performed it on Billboard Live At-Home on June 10th, which raised money for The Bail Project, a non-profit that combats mass incarceration. “Some of these lyrics are taken from the speech I made at my wedding,” Andy Clutterbuck said while introducing the new song.
The track was written during a trip to Los Angeles back in January. Then, the duo finished it at their studio in Hackney while in isolation.
“It’s ok for things to sound a bit rough, rather than going into the studio and compressing guitars over and over,” HONNE explains. “The more character that you leave in it, the more the listener can dive in.”
