YEBBA Releases New Song “Distance”
American Grammy-award-winning singer-songwriter Abbey Smith, aka YEBBA has unveiled a new song “Distance” from her upcoming debut album.
“I wrote a goodbye before we ever got the chance to fight,” YEBBA explains.
The song was recorded at Electric Lady Studio in New York City and produced by Mark Ronson, who collaborated with her on his fifth studio album “Late Night Feelings”. It was written by Pete Wilkins, James Francies, Alana Chenevert and YEBBA. Also the track features contributions from the Roots and storied bassist Pino Palladino.
Also, about the cover photo of the single, she said, “This is a picture of my dad & his horrible haircut chasing the car my mom got into after their wedding. I thought this was really sweet so I’m using it for the cover art for 'Distance'”.- source : Rolling Stone
