JoJo Releases New Album “good to know”: Streaming
American singer-songwriter JoJo released her fourth studio “good to know” on May 1st for the first time in four years.
It is her first LP under her own record label imprint Clover Music through a joint venture with Warner Records.
The album features guest appearances from Tory Lanez and 30 Roc.
JoJo said of the album, “I called the album Good to Know because of everything I’ve learned in the past few years – every piece of feedback, criticism (internal or external), whatever it is – it’s all just information. And it’s all good!. I’ve been lucky to have the space to reflect on my own journey up to now, and I hope people can take comfort in the fact that I am not anywhere near perfect, and I will never sugarcoat anything. We are all constantly living and learning, and that’s what makes this life so fun.”- The album contains 9-track and features her roots which are R&B and adult contemporary pop sound.
“The project can be broken into three chapters,” she said in a release. “The first being: Here’s what I do to numb myself. Get me out of my skin and let me be distracted with love, sex, substances. The middle part finds me realizing that I need to be on my own for the first time in my life to end patterns that aren’t serving me anymore. Toward the end, I knock on the door of self-love.
