SKAAR Releases New Song “Quiet”
Norwegian singer-songwriter Hilde Skaar, aka SKAAR has unveiled a new song “Quiet” with an accompanying music video.
The track is the fist single off of her upcoming debut EP, which is expected be released this summer. The video features Leonard Waage and directed by Martin Bremnes. She shot the clip in the house her father grew up.
She wrote the song in Stockholm two years ago. “I wrote it two years ago when I was in Stockholm for the first time with @fannyhultman, @maddefacker and @itsmeiselin,” Hilde Skaar wrote on social media. “This was the first session I had with Madfun, and it turn out to be the start of a whoooole new chapter in my career and life in general. I had been on a few sessions prior to this one, and I thought the whole concept of sessions was TERRIFYING. I felt like I wasn’t good enough or cool enough to write good songs or to even be in the business. But all of that changed when I went into that room with these three, amazing women. They asked about my life, what I wanted to write about and really respected me in a way I didn’t feel like I had been before. I started talking about a relationship I had at the time, and the song almost wrote itself!”- source : CLASH
