Oliver Tree Releases New Song “Let Me Down”, Announces Retirement
Back in March, American singer-songwriter Oliver Tree joined in English singer-songwriter YUNGBLUD's live streaming show “THE YUNGBLUD SHOW LIVE” along with Machine Gun Kelly and Bella Thorne. They streamed the show, because cancelation of YUNGBLUD's concert due to coronavirus.
After the show, Oliver Tree released a new song “Let Me Down” with an accompanying music video directed by Oliver Tree himself.
At the same of the release, he announced his retirement.
Because, his major debut album “Ugly is Beautiful” has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, he was supposed to release his sophomore album “Ugly is Beautiful” on March 27th.
So, he decided to release the song instead of the album and announced his retirement.
”I wrote ‘Let Me Down’ the day after I canceled my album due to corona virus” Oliver Tree says about the new track. “Canceling the release was devastating after working on this album for 5 years. Even though it was completely out of my control, I felt like I let a lot of people down so I made them this song as an apology. Even if I can’t drop the album, I still want my fans to know I care about them. This week I decided to film a DIY music video in my buddy’s warehouse with the help of some close friends and family.
