Chappell Roan Releases New Song “Pink Pony Club”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Chappell Roan returned with a new song “Pink Pony Club” on April 3rd. It is her first single in two years.
The accompanying music video was directed by Griffin Stoddard, who also created her another video for “Good Hurt” in 2018.
The song inspired by the first night experience of moving to Los Angeles from her hometown Springfield, Missouri.
The track was written by Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, and Dan Nigro who also produced it.

“All of a sudden I realized I could truly be any way I wanted to be, and no one would bat an eye,” Chappell Roan said of the song. “It was so different from home, where I always had such a hard time being myself and felt like I'd be judged for being different or being creative. I just felt overwhelmed with complete love and acceptance, and from then on I started writing songs as the real me.”- She told V magazine, “I moved to LA from Springfield, MO and it completely changed my perspective on life. On one of my first nights in LA, I went to The Abbey in West Hollywood and was so inspired by the energy there. I felt like for the first time I could truly be myself and not be judged. My experience there inspired 'Pink Pony Club' and also the video.”
