Jenny Lewis Releases New Song “Under The Supermoon” featuring Habib Koite, Artists for Peace and Justice
Last December, American singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis collaborated with Jonathan Wilson, Sanba Zao, Paul Beaubrun and Jackson Browne for “Artists for Peace and Justice”.
They will release a benefit album “Let the Rhythm Lead: Haiti Song Summit, Vol. 1”, which is set to be released January 31st via Arts Music.
Artists for Peace and Justice is a non-profit organization founded in 2009 by Paul Haggis. The organization’s immediate goal is to serve the poorest communities in Haiti with programs in education, healthcare, and dignity.
From the album, Jenny Lewis unveiled a new song “Under The Supermoon” featuring the Malian musician, Habib Koité along with the music video.
In a statement, she described, “a love song written in Jacmel floating in the Caribbean sea under the supermoon of November 2016 just days after the U.S. presidential election... a travelogue of sorts processed in real time.”
Jenny Lewis will support former One Direction Harry Styles' North American tour, starting June 26th in Philadelphia.
