Bastille Covers REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling” on John Lewis and Waitrose Christmas TV Advert
British pop band Bastille re-recorded REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling”, which features on John Lewis and Waitrose Christmas TV advert.
The band performed the song with London Contemporary Orchestra and recorded by Dan Smith at the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. Arranged and produced by Mara Carlyle and co-produced by Hugh Brunt.
“Can’t Fight This Feeling” was released by American rock band REO Speedwagon in 1984. The song remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks from March 9 to March 23, 1985.
The track appeared REO Speedwagon's eleventh studio album “Wheels Are Turnin'”, which was released in late 1984.
