She wrote on twitter, “Wow ok the love for this album is overwhelming. I love you guys so much. My journey as an artist has been so full of twists and turns but I am so happy I've ended up here with you guys. Thank you for trusting in me and believing in me. Some people will here understand me as am artist, the decisions I make or what I do, but I've come to a point where I feel totally happy in my own unique space - it's a truly special one - where I feel free to explore all the corners of my brain without thinking about the consequences. I have ups and downs, sure, and some days I debut myself, but right now, today, I feel happy. I feel embraced by my community and I feel so comfortable to be myself. I feel proud of this creative world I have made, I feel proud of my fans for joining me on this journey and I feel so honored to have been able to collaborate with so many people who are so brilliantly inspiring to me. I like to laugh, I like to be honest, I like making decisions which antagonize, I like to be emotional and I like to party. I've done all of this on this record. Thank you for listening to it, and if it made you fell SOMETHING, I'm happy. This album is me my most truest form. So if you get it, thank you for understanding me. Lots of love, Charli x”- DJG-QaBMx1c

After the release of the album, she performed “Gone” with Christine and the Queens on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Before The Tonight Show, both artists performed on The Jonathan Ross Show.
The song was released as the third single back in July. She said of the song, “This song is about those situations where you are surrounded by loads of people but feel so isolated and alone. I feel like that a lot of the time in social situations. I never know what to do with myself, I feel so insecure and out of place and lost. I feel like a lot of people I know get those feelings. When it comes to me, I’ll either party through it and try to escape my feelings or I will totally cave in. The emotions that come alongside anxiety are so huge and crippling. This song is about breaking down but it’s also about breaking free. It feels like one big external scream. Both this song and video are a huge release of energy for me. When I hear it and when I dance to it I feel truly euphoric and alive, like I’m pushing out all the bad feelings from my brain. Its like I’m channeling all my anger and frustration (and sometimes sadness) into dancing it all away.”- source : The Fader
