Cage The Elephant Releases New Album “Social Cues”: Streaming
American rock band Cage The Elephant released their fifth studio album “Social Cues” on April 19, 2019. It is their first LP in four years.
The album was preceded by three singles "Ready to Let Go", "House of Glass" and "Night Running".
The band combines and revitalizes two well-worn scenarios on the album, which are the pains-of-fame album and the romantic-breakup album. That means the album is heavily influenced by frontman Matt Shultz’s recent divorce to French actress and model Juliette Busc.
The album comprises of 13-track featuring guest appearance of American singer-songwriter Beck. All tracks written by Brad Shultz, Daniel Tichenor, Jared Champion, Matt Shultz, Matthan Minster and Nick Bockrath. Produced by John Hill.
Matt Shultz told Far Out Magazine, “Our first three records were produced by Jay Joyce and we were very happy staying with him but we felt like we needed a change so we changed to Dan Auerbach and then we wanted to go in a different direction so we changed again to John Hill but I’m not opposed to staying with the same person, it’s just kind of whatever you’re feeling. Sometimes it’s a crap studio and you might go the wrong direction. For us, at least, it’s someone who is going to be able to facilitate and help better what you visioned your record to be.”- source : Far Out Magazine
