Alec Benjamin Premieres New Version for “Let Me Down Slowly” featuring Alessia Cara
American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin teamed up with Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. Both of artists released a new collaboration song “Let Me Down Slowly”.
The original song is included on his mixtape "Narrated for You", which was released lastNovember. The music video was premiered in June 2018, directed by Matt Swinsky.
This time, he rerecorded the song with Alessia Cara.
Alec Benjamin said of the song, “This song is about my first relationship. I wanted to talk about one moment where I felt especially vulnerable, which is something I don’t think a lot of people talk about.”
“It's just about feeling like you're at somebody else's mercy where you really still care about somebody but they kind of hold all the cards and it was kind of like a helpless feeling,” he stated. “So it's about asking for somebody to be gracious if they're gonna leave.”- source : Rolling Stone
