Miguel Performs “Sky Walker” on Austin City Limits
American singer-songwriter Miguel appeared on Austin City Limits along with Alessia Cara, where he performed his smash hit “Sky Walker”.
“Sky Walker” was released in August 2017 from Miguel's fourth studio album "War & Leisure".
The song featured American rapper Travis Scott. This time, Miguel played the song as solo. It was written by Miguel, Travis Scott, Rogét Chahayed and Happy Perez.
The single reached No. 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The album "War & Leisure" featured further guest appearances from Rick Ross, Quiñ, Kali Uchis, J. Cole and Salaam Remi.
The album reached No. 9 on the US Billboard 200.- Miguel said of the song:
“A lot of people don’t know me for that side of my personality. When I come into the studio, I’m likely to put a lot of pressure on myself to say something that’s really personal or unique or that will get the conversation started.
I don’t think my fans know this fun side of me. It was a different spirit in the studio that day, and that’s exciting.
The energy was right and because it was fun the song wrote itself all the way through.
