Arlissa Premieres New Music Video for “We Won't Move” from “The Hate U Give” Soundtrack
London-based American-German singer-songwriter Arlissa Ruppert, aka Arlissa has dropped a new music video for “We Won't Move”.
The song is included on the original motion picture soundtrack “The Hate U Give”.
She worked with co-writer Jessica “Harloe” Karpov and producer Kevin White and Mike Woods for the song.
In addition to Arlissa, the soundtrack features guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, 2Pac, Travis Scott, Logic, Beau Young Prince, 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Emanny, Rappin' 4-Tay and Billie Eilish.
The film “The Hate U Give” was directed by George Tillman Jr., starring Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, KJ Apa, Algee Smith, Lamar Johnson, Issa Rae, Sabrina Carpenter, Common, and Anthony Mackie.
The film is based on Angie Thomas' 2017 novel of same name about a teenage girl who witnesses her childhood best friend being shot to death by a police officer.
The film was premiered at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival on September 7th. Also she performed the song at the film festival.
