  • Katie Ruvane Premieres New EP “Part I” from Debut Album “The Lines”

  • New Jersey-based indie folk singer-songwriter Katie Ruvane will release her debut album "The Lines", including 10-track, via three EP-sized installments.

She released the first EP “Part I” on September 27, 2018. The EP was premiered exclusively on Billboard.
“Part I” comprises of 3-track, “Black Magic”, “All Night” and “True”.
She plans to release "Part II" and "Part III" of the album on October and November, respectively.

Katie Ruvane said of the EP in an interview, "Part I is a collection of the first three songs on my debut 10-track album, The Lines. This first release is poised delicately on the line before knowing someone, before falling for them. I think it’s one of the more comfortable spaces to be in. It’s daydreaming; it’s harmless. And it’s so easy to get caught up in the dream, that we don’t even feel ourselves tripping over the line. "Black Magic," "All Night," and "True" are the first three times I tripped."

  • Katie Ruvane graduated Nashville’s Belmont University last December. She released a debut song "Nicotine" in 2016.
Her music is influenced from Phoebe Bridgers. She told Billboard, "I’m a huge fan of Phoebe Bridgers. [Her album] Stranger in the Alps quickly became one of my all-time favorite records since it came out last year, and I listened to it nearly every day while we were making my album."
