The Struts Premieres New Music Video for “Body Talks” featuring Kesha
British rock band The Struts has teamed up with American singer-songwriter Kesha. They released a remix version of “Body Talks” with an accompanying music video.
The original version was released back in June. It has rapidly amassed more than 2.5 million streams on Spotify. It was written by Lauren Christy, Jon Levine, Adam Slack and Luke Spiller.
When the band appeared on Z100’s Elvis Duran and the Morning Show earlier this month, they announced about the collaboration with Kesha.
Frontman Luke Spiller told the radio host, “When you talk to her about her music and stuff, she loves the Stones. She loves a lot of great British bands. So I think we naturally connected and she heard the song, and that was it really. "
The music video was shot in St. Louis, where both artists were making a tour stop. Directed by Lagan Sebert, who created Kesha’s recently released Apple Music documentary film "Rainbow The Film".
Kesha said, “I’m so excited to release ‘Body Talks’ with The Struts!!! They are one of my favorite current bands keeping the spirit of classic rock and roll alive with their wild energy and sexy style. It’s a song made for my favorite activity: boogieing.”
The song will appear on their upcoming sophomore album, but the band has yet to reveal its title or release date.- source : Idolator
