OneRepublic Premieres New Music Video for “Connection”
American pop rock band OneRepublic unveiled a new music video for “Connection” directed by Joe Pront.
The video was shot at The Oculus, New York City’s newest addition to the 9/11 memorial.
The song was released back in June and was written by Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, Noel Zancanella, Zach Skelton and Jacob Kasher.
Frontman Ryan Tedder video chat with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, “Basically the whole idea was, and a lot of what this album is about, is human connection,” he said. “Trying to find authenticity and authentic connection. This is kind of one of like four or five that we honestly couldn’t decide what to put out first. In the history of One Republic, the biggest single is never the first thing we released — it’s usually the second or the third. So all things being equal we kind of said, ‘Ok, well… [this sounds] like a summer record. Let’s put it out and then two months later, let’s put out another one.'”
Recently, Ryan Tedder collaborated with Paul McCartney. He co-wrote Paul's new song “Fuh You”. Also he performed “One Day” along with Logic at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 20th.- source : Billboard
