Jessie Reyez Premieres Remix Version for “Body Count” featuring Normani & Kehlani
Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez has released remix version for “Body Count” featuring former Fifth Harmony Normani and American singer-songwriter Kehlani.
The song is the last track off of Reyez’s upcoming sophomore EP "Being Human In Public", which is expected to be released this fall. It was written by Victoria Monét, RAYE, Normani, Kehlani, Jessie Reyez, Babyface and Khristopher Riddick-Tynes.
“Body Count (Remix)” is under the influence of feminist thought. Jessie Reyez told Rolling Stone, “We have to do more than talk about [sexual assault]. We need people at the top to make more conscious decisions about who they work with.”
Jessie Reyez and Bebe Rexha openly accused producer Noel “Detail” Fisher of sexual misconduct in 2017.
The EP was preceded by three singles “Body Count” original, "Apple Juice" and "Sola".
