Blackbear Premieres New Song “the 1” on Apple Beats 1
American rapper Matthew Tyler Musto, aka Blackbear premiered a new song “the 1” on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show on August 23rd.
On the same day, he dropped a new music video for the song. The track was written by Blackbear and FRND, who produced it as well.
Last November, he released his fourth studio album "Cybersex", which reached No. 21 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
After "Cybersex", he collaborated with some artists the likes of Fat Nick's "Ice Out" and Yung Pinch's "Smoke & Drive" with P-Lo.
Also back in April, he collaborated with Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda for "About You", which paid tribute to the band frontman Chester Bennington.
The new song is the follow-up to them.
Blackbear will appear on Life Is Beautiful at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on September 23rd. The festival features St. Vincent, Travis Scott, Blood Orange and 3LAU, among others.
On October 19th, he will perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre along with DVBBS.
