Illenium Premieres New Song “Take You Down”
American DJ Nicholas D. Miller, aka Illenium premiered a new song “Take You Down” via SoundCloud and other streaming music services.
Earlier this week, he revealed on twitter that he struggled with addictions six years ago. The lyrics talk about it. It was written by Rock Mafia and Illenium.
The song features pitched up vocals from Tim James, who is one half of songwriting duo Rock Mafia.
Illenium wrote, "Six years ago I overdosed on heroin. I Struggled with opiate addiction from a young age. I was trapped in it. Had no passion, no direction, and truly hated myself. It was such a dark time for me and my family because when it gets bad enough, hope begins to dim and there's no escaping reality.
With all that said, my upcoming song "Tak You Down" is about my struggles with addiction and what it can do to families and love ones."— ILLENIUM (@ILLENIUMMUSIC) July 31, 2018
