Young the Giant Premieres New Music Video for “Simplify”
A couple weeks ago, American rock band Young the Giant appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where the band first performed their new song “Simplify” on TV.
After The Late Show, the band premiered a new music video for the song directed by Kyle Sauer and announced their upcoming tour dates.
The song will appear on their upcoming fourth studio album (yet-untitled), which is expected to be released late this year. It was written by Sameer Gadhia.
Frontman Sameer Gadhia said of the song;
"Everything in modern life is complicated. We construct images of how life should be lived: how to act, dress, tweet, and vote, and often times it is easy to lose your true self to the images we create for all to see.
But love is simple, and to love someone is to love all of humanity. It is the closest thing to truth, and even though love can be compromising, painful, and exhausting, we can only see our truest selves in the eyes of another. This is the essence of ‘Simplify'"- XZuEdsr2s7M
