Jack White Premieres New Song “Over and Over and Over”
American rock duo The White Stripes' lead singer, Jack White has released a new song “Over and Over and Over” from his upcoming third solo album "Boarding House Reach", which is set to be released on March 23rd.
It was written by Jack White himself. The track follows up "Connected by Love", "Respect Commander" and "Corporation".
About song, he said, "It was sort of my white whale. I chased it and chased it, and finally, all of a sudden, it worked."
The new album comprises of 13-track and recorded in New York City and Los Angeles in 2017.
For creating the songs of the album, he used a reel-to-reel tape recorder at a small apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. He spent several hours each day crafting in this space.
In an interview with The New Yorker, he said "to try to write songs where I can't be heard by the next-door neighbor. And I want to write like Michael Jackson would write - instead of writing parts on the instruments or humming melodies, you think of them. To do everything in my head and to do it in silence and use only one room."
He embarks on a North American tour in support of Boarding House Reach April 19th in Detroit.
