Micky James Premieres Debut Song “Give It To Me Straight” on SoundCloud
New York-based singer-songwriter Micky James dropped a debut song "Give It To Me Straight". The song is '70s style, which is inspired by the likes of David Bowie and The Clash. But gang vocals and impressive guitar solos remind us of Bad Company.
He signed to Dirty Canvas Records and recorded the song. He worked with producer Shep Goodman (American Authors) and Aaron Accetta.
About the song, Micky James told Billboard;
“I wanted to take pieces of nostalgia and give it a contemporary twist. They (Dirty Canvas Records) say some of your best work or the best songs you write appear from the sky and happen pretty instantaneous....well I feel 'Give It To Me Straight’ felt like one those songs”.- source : Billboard
