Luke Bryan Premieres New Song “Light It Up”
American country singer-songwriter Luke Bryan premiered a new song "Light It Up" from his forthcoming sixth studio album. The track was written by Luke Bryan and Old Dominion's Brad Tursi, and produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens.
The new album will be released in later in 2017. It is his first LP in two years since "Kill the Lights".
Currently, he has toured "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day Tour" through October. Also, he will pause to raise money for agricultural communities during his ninth annual Farm Tour beginning September 28th. Learn more about tour dates, click here.
About the new song, Luke Bryan said;
“I’ve only cut one song that I was 100 percent writer on, and through the years, I’ve tried to force myself to write by myself. But it’s so boring. It’s so tough. You’ve got to be crazy focused to do that. We built the house, and I built my music room with my piano and guitars. And this was the first writing appointment in my writing room. Brad had the ‘I get so neurotic about it’ line. And when we recorded it, people asked me, ‘Think that word needs to stay?'”-
- "'Light It Up' is kind of glimpse into how people communicate these days. People are breaking up with text messages, they're getting back with text messages -- they're just on their phones so much. It's about a guy that's hanging on everything that's happening on his phone, like 'Please just like that screen up with your text message.'"
