Alec Benjamin Premieres New Music Video for “I Built a Friend”
American singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin premiered a new music video for "I Built a Friend", directed by Hunter Lyon, who also directed a music video for Benjamin's previous song "The Water Fountain".
The song "I Built a Friend" was released in August 2016 on SoundCloud.
He wrote about the song on SoundCloud page, "This is a story about a friend that I built. He died. I hope it makes you feel something. Don’t worry about that, you got it."
Alec Benjamin debuted with an EP "Mixtape 1: America" in 2013. He signed to Columbia Records in 2014 and released "Paper Crown", "End of the Summer" in 2016 and "The Water Fountain" in 2017.
He penned American rapper Jon Bellion's "New York Soul Pt. ii" as a songwriter, which was included on Bellion's debut album "The Human Condition" in 2016.
