Dreamcar Unveils New Music Video for “Kill for Candy” on VEVO
Los Angeles-based new wave band Dreamcar has released a music video for "Kill for Candy" on VEVO. The song is taken from their upcoming self-titled Album and was released on March 2, 2017.
Dreamcar was formed by AFI's Davey Havok with No Doubt members Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young in 2016.
But the band's sound is not like AFI or No Doubt. Davey Havok said "I'm not singing for No Doubt. We have a lot of great songs. We have songs that are fully complete. And, it's just a great time. It's really fun. I think people will really like it."
Currently, the band is working on their debut album, which is expcted to be released later in 2017.
They'll also play Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 18th and The Late Late Show on May 11th.
In addition, on May 12, the group will make their live debut Wednesday night in Santa Ana, California before kicking off a spring tour that includes two Coachella gigs.
About the debut album, Tony Kanal told Rolling Stone in the interiew;
"We were teens in the Eighties, and that's the kind of music that we all grew up on. When you're in those really formative years, from, like, 13 to 19, what you listen to is so influential, and I think that's just part of our being now," Kanal said. "It was never like, 'Oh, let's try to do this!' It's just the stuff that makes you feel comfortable."-
