Magenta Moon Releases New Song “Pick Up”
Los Angeles-based indie-rock duo Magenta Moon, consisting of Elaina Whitesell (lead vocals/bass) and Joey Petrarca (guitar/vocals), released a new song “Pick Up” on April 25, 2025.
The song is their second single of 2025, following "Red Again" released back in January.
The track is the first of four songs they recorded at Dead Stare Audio in Los Angeles last October.
The song is a deeply personal exploration of the moments of silence and space that arise when people are caught in the web of distance.
It was written by Elaina Guin Whitesell and Joseph Ananias Petrarca. Produced by Andrew Solis.
The duo said of the song, “When things go south, she flies north. And east. Phone cables run under the Atlantic, keeping lines of communication open. When momentum keeps pushing the two of them apart, how can our lovers find their way back to each other?”- Photo by Nikki Neumann
