Grace Potter Releases New Song “Losing You”
American singer-songwriter Grace Potter will release her upcoming album “Medicine” on May 30, 2025 via Hollywood Records.
This marks her first album in two years since the 2023 album “Mother Road”.
On the album, she worked with producer T Bone Burnett.
From the album, she unveiled the second single “Losing You” on April 25, 2025, following “Before The Sky Falls”.
The track was written by Grace Potter and produced by T Bone Burnett.
Grace Potter said of the song, “'Losing You' is one of the last songs I conjured before recording with T Bone. Once we got into the studio and I heard us all playing together, I fully understood the soundscape we were existing in. The demo I made had a 'Midnight Rider' vibe but, when we started to play, the band elevated it to a different atmosphere entirely and allowed my voice to soar and for the lyrics to cut in a deeper and a far more meaningful way.”- Originally, Grace Potter recorded the album with T Bone Burnett at The Village Studios in 2008.
The album captured Grace Potter at a moment of profound metamorphosis, then wound up shelved.
This time, she has joined forces with Hollywood Records to unearth those recordings from deep in the vaults and release “Medicine”.
The album comprises 12 songs, including 8 songs from the 2010 Grace Potter and the Nocturnals self-titled album and 4 unreleased songs, and features Jim Keltner on drums, Dennis Crouch on bass, Marc Ribot on guitar, and Keefus Ciancia on keyboards.
Grace Potter said of the album, “If we lived purely moment-to-moment...free of expectation we could avoid painful disappointment... however THIS particular MOMENT has been peppered with 17 years of anticipation.... so breathe in...breathe out....” -
