Sleep Token Releases New Song “Damocles”
British alt-metal band Sleep Token, consisting of Vessel (lead vocals), II (drums), III (bass), IV (guitar) and Espera (backing vocals), will release their upcoming fourth studio album “Even In Arcadia” on May 9, 2025 via RCA Records.
From the album, the band released the third and final pre-release single called “Damocles” on April 25, 2025.
The song is a beautiful, piano-led ballad that delves into the quiet unraveling beneath the surface. The band sings “When the river runs dry and the curtain is called / How will I know if I can't see the bottom? / Come up for air and choke on it all / No-one else knows that I've got a problem.”
As with the previous singles “Emergence” and “Caramel”, the track was written by Vessel1 and Vessel2, and produced by Carl Bown.
Both of “Emergence” and “Caramel” reached No. 1 on the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart, and on Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart.
The band has made history as one of only three artists to replace themselves at the top of the chart.- The new album comprises 10 songs, produced by Carl Bown. It is their first release under their new label RCA Records.
Additionally, Japanese CD edition of the album will be released on June 25, 2025. The CD features 12 songs, including two bonus tracks and features “commentary, lyrics and translations”. -
