Lauren Spencer Smith Announces New Album “THE ART OF BEING A MESS”, Shares New Song “IF KARMA DOESN'T GET YOU (I WILL)”
Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith has announced her upcoming sophomore album “THE ART OF BEING A MESS” will be released on June 27, 2025.
It is her first album in two years since the 2023 debut album “Mirror”.
From the album, she released a new song “IF KARMA DOESN'T GET YOU (I WILL)” on April 25, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Pray”.
The track features R&B and rock vibe sound unlike her previous songs.
It was written by Jack Lafrantz, Lauren Spencer Smith, Nick Ruth, and Phil Plested. Produced by Nick Ruth, Gian Stone, and Mike Wise.
Lauren Spencer Smith said of the song, “'IF KARMA DOESN’T GET YOU (I WILL)' taps into a sound that’s edgier, darker, and more honest than anything I’ve released before. It’s a reflection of the anger, power, and fire I’ve felt-and a sign of how much I’ve grown, both personally and musically. This song is just the beginning of exploring deeper, more unapologetically angry emotions and being honest about the sides of ourselves we don't always show.”- The new album comprises a 12-track and captures the emotional rollercoaster her experienced while writing her second album.
